The possibility that the entire universe might be made of computer programs is increasing. Not only physicists but also philosophers and artists have been believe that these kinds of phenomenon about phenomenal quantum mechanical phenomena that the state of matter would be determined only when a person observed it. As one of the artists instructing the simulation hypothesis, I tried to combine Zen’s thought and simulation hypothesis through this work.

If the universe was a program, some people possibly might have anxiety and emptiness. But I do not think so. Because this world is a program, I believe that it will work as convenient as human beings and that the future will develop according to human thought and imagination. I think artist must train their ability to add positive variables to consciousness in space-time and people.

宇宙全体がコンピュータプログラムで出来ている可能性が高まってきています。人が観察してはじめて物質の状態が決定されるという驚異的な量子力学的現象に対して、物理学者だけでなく哲学者やアーティストなどがその事象に対して向き合ってきました。私はシミュレーション仮説を支持する作家のひとりとして、この作品で禅の思想とシミュレーション仮説の融合を試みたものです。

宇宙がプログラムであったとしたら不安や虚無感を持たれる方もいらっしゃると思いますが、私はそうは思いません。何故ならば、この世界がプログラムであるがゆえに、人間の都合の良いように作動し、人の思念に応じて未来が展開していくはずだと信じるからです。作家は、時空や人に意識に対してポジティブな変数を加えられる能力を鍛えなければならないと思うのです。
